PADI courses on offer through
Blue Planet Divers are conducted by a fully qualified PADI instructor, who
will personally supervise and guide you through the course. Maximum student:instructor
ratios of 2:1 are maintained for all courses.
They have two fully equipped
classrooms in their main shop in Saladan, and also have access to a swimming pool
for training dives. The pool is where you will learn, practice, and refine your
skills before heading out to complete the open water segments of the course at
either Koh Haa or Koh Bida! The boat departs daily from Saladan at either 7:00am
or 8:00am, bound for any one of spectacular dive sites nearby.
The minimum
age for PADI certification is 15 although students enrolled in the junior
open water or junior scuba diver courses may be as young as 10 years of age when
they begin diving.

Scuba Diving is a one day introduction to diving. Your instructor provides a brief
orientation before taking you diving in a confined water area where you learn
to use scuba equipment and get familiar with the underwater environment. The next
step is an exciting adventure dive on an underwater tour of the reef an
experience that will likely hook you on diving! Its an absolutely unforgettable
day!! The bonus is that once the DSD experience is complete, the second dive is
credited toward the Scuba Diver and/or Open Water courses.
The
PADI Scuba Diver program is a quick two day pre-entry level certification. It
is the right course for you if you really want to learn to dive, but are short
on time.
Learn about underwater safety and basic diving principles before
taking to the water for two fun-filled dives.
The Scuba Diver certification
allows you to dive anywhere around the world, to a maximum depth of 12m, under
the supervision of a PADI Professional and is valid for life. You can upgrade
the Scuba Diver certification to an Open Water certification at any time, in as
little as two days.
PADI
Open Water Diver is the most popular dive program in the world - and your ticket
to a lifetime of intense adventure. Youll learn about scuba fundamentals,
equipment and techniques, as well as earning a lifetime certification to dive
anywhere, worldwide, to a maximum depth of 18m!!
Learn and practice new
skills in the pool, and then head out on the boat to experience your four open
water dives under the supervision of a certified PADI Instructor. The entire course
lasts 3 to 4 days, depending on the number of participants. The course is performance
based, not time based so you can take your time to get comfortable and have
fun! Virtually anyone who is reasonably fit can learn to scuba dive. Participants
as young as 10 years may complete the PADI Open Water Diver program and receive
a junior credential, which may be upgraded to full certification once they reach
15 years of age.

completing this course, you will be certified to dive to a maximum depth of 30m,
worldwide.
The
Emergency First Response program is a one day classroom course, incorporating
both theoretical learning and practical, hands-on training under the supervision
of a certified Emergency First Response instructor. It is an important prerequisite
of the Rescue Diver program, as it teaches you the important first aid and CPR
skills you need.
While learning about accident management, youll also
be shown how to apply the knowledge you acquire in this course to the unique needs
of diving. This important and informative course is open to divers and non-divers
alike, and will teach you the basics of both primary care (CPR) and secondary
care (first aid) in the event of an accident and/or emergency. Upon completion,
youll be a qualified first-responder your certification will be valid
for 2 years and you will be a more confident diver as a result of your
training!
The
PADI Rescue Diver program is surprisingly fun, but more importantly, it is extremely
rewarding.
You will learn about accident prevention and management, practicing
your new skills first in a confined water environment, and later applying them
in open water, with real people. Youll also learn important self-rescue
techniques.
This 3 day course combines knowledge development and rescue
skills so that you feel confident and competent becoming a more aware and
responsible diver.
This
is the first professional level in PADI. Recreational dive theory is studied in
further depth, and you will fine tune your diving skills to demonstration level
getting you ready to help introduce new divers to a whole new world! The
Divemaster rating qualifies you to lead groups of certified divers and assist
instructors in the teaching process. Gain the experience you need to work as
a PADI professional!!
The PADI Divemaster course consists of three modules:
